Renowned lyricist and communications expert Prasoon Joshi has been appointed as the new Chairman of Prasar Bharati, the country’s public service broadcaster.
The appointment was made by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting on May 2, 2026, filling a key leadership position that had been vacant following the resignation of Navneet Sehgal.
