New Principal Resident Commissioner in New Delhi
Sirra Karuna Raju (IAS, 1998 batch), who was earlier awaiting a fresh posting, has been appointed as the Principal Resident Commissioner at Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi. He succeeds Varun Roojam (IAS), who has been relieved of this additional charge. The position of Principal Resident Commissioner plays a critical role in ensuring coordination and liaison between the Punjab State Government and the Union Administration.

The additional responsibility is expected to support digital initiatives and enhance coordination between higher education and the state’s technology ecosystem.
PCS Officer Posted in Gurdaspur
At the state civil services level, Anand Sagar Sharma (PCS, 2012 batch) has been transferred from his post as Joint Secretary (Social Security) and appointed as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Gurdaspur. His new role will focus on strengthening grassroots governance and accelerating the implementation of rural development programmes in the district.
