BEL Signs MoU with Softvan Limited to Develop Indigenous Anti-Drone, Cyber Security and Cloud Solutions

State-owned defence electronics major Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Softvan Limited to jointly develop advanced indigenous solutions in areas such as anti-drone systems, cyber security, cloud services, and digital governance. The collaboration aligns with the national vision of strengthening self-reliance in critical technologies under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.


The partnership aims to combine BEL’s strong system integration and programme execution capabilities with Softvan Limited’s expertise in digital engineering and cyber security to create mission-critical solutions for defence, government, and civilian applications.

MoU Signing in New Delhi

The MoU was signed in New Delhi by Prahalad P.S., General Manager (Civilian Marketing), BEL, and Pratik Kakadia, Managing Director, Softvan Limited. The signing took place in the presence of Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, BEL.


Focus on Mission-Critical Technologies

Under the agreement, BEL and Softvan Limited will collaborate across a wide range of cutting-edge technology domains. These include anti-drone technologies, cyber security solutions, cloud services, digital governance platforms, and Electronic Warfare & Analytics (EW&A). The cooperation is expected to address emerging security challenges while supporting modernisation across defence and government systems.


Strengthening Indigenous Capabilities

The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to developing indigenous, secure, and scalable technology solutions. By reducing dependence on imported systems and promoting local innovation, the partnership is expected to contribute significantly to India’s defence preparedness and digital governance ecosystem.
