The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to support the ambitious Amaravati Quantum Valley (AQV) initiative. The collaboration marks a key milestone in advancing India’s capabilities in quantum research, secure communications, and next-generation digital technologies.
The Amaravati Quantum Valley, launched by the Andhra Pradesh Government, is envisioned as a world-class hub for quantum innovation, integrating hardware manufacturing, software development, cutting-edge research, and talent development. Designed to position Amaravati as a global centre for quantum advancement, the initiative aims to attract leading institutions, industry innovators, and technology partners to accelerate India’s quantum ecosystem.
As part of the agreement, C-DOT will set up a Centre of Excellence in Quantum Communication & Security Solutions at AQV. The centre will focus on developing advanced quantum communication systems, secure network architectures, and explore Privacy Enhancement Technologies to strengthen India’s trusted digital infrastructure.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Dalela, Executive Vice President of C-DOT, in the presence of Nara Lokesh, Minister for ITE&C and HRD, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and Bhaskar Katamneni, Secretary, ITE&C Department.
The partnership is set to enhance India’s quantum capabilities by fostering a secure, innovation-led ecosystem. With AQV poised to become a major hub for high-end technology development, the new centre is expected to play a pivotal role in elevating India’s presence in the global quantum landscape.
