The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Monday approved a series of appointments, extensions, and recommendations across the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Engineering Service (IES), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central services. The notifications cover leadership roles in ministries, departments, paramilitary forces, intelligence agencies, and diplomatic missions.
Appointments and Recommendations:
Harish Kumar Kallega (IES: 2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education for a period of four years.
Heera Lal (IRS C&IT: 2015) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Delhi for a period of four years.
Samarth Verma (IAS: 2011: OD) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Delhi for a period of five years.
Reema Jain (IES: 2013) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Defence, Delhi for a period of four years.
Saurabh Shukla (IA&AS: 2005), Director, PMO, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for a period up to 19.10.2026.
Tenure of Saurabh Kumar Tiwari (IP&TA&FS: 1993), Additional Secretary, Direct Benefit Transfer Mission, Cabinet Secretariat, has been extended up to his superannuation on 30.09.2027.
Zaki Ahmad (IPS: 1993: UP), IG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till the date of his superannuation on 31.03.2028.
Raja Srivastava (IPS: 1994: UP), ADG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till the date of his superannuation on 28.02.2029.
Amit Kumar (IPS: 1994: BH), ADG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF till the date of his superannuation on 31.10.2030.
Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal (IPS: 1994: TN), ADG, BSF, has been appointed as Special Director General, BSF till the date of his superannuation on 31.03.2032.
Apte Vinayak Prabhakar (IPS: 1994: TG), Additional Director, IB, has been appointed as Special Director, IB on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
Manmeet Singh Narang (IPS: 1994: MP), Additional Director, IB, has been appointed as Special Director, IB on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
Anurag Kumar (IPS: 1994: AGMUT), Additional Director, IB, has been appointed as Special Director, IB on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
Rakesh Aggarwal (IPS: 1994: HP), ADG, NIA, has been appointed as Special Director General in NIA on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
Anupama Nilekar Chandra (IPS: 1994: BH), ADG, SSB, has been appointed as Special Director General in SSB on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
Deepak Kumar (IPS: 1994: AM), ADG, CRPF, has been appointed as Special Director General in CRPF on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years.
M Bharani Kumaar (IAS: 2013: SK) has been appointed as Executive Director (Deputy Secretary Level), Tea Board, Coonoor under the Department of Commerce for a period of four years.
Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau (IAS: 2014: TN) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs for a period of four years.
Ratan Biswas (IAS: 2013: TR) has been appointed as Director of Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration, Tripura, for a period up to 31.12.2025.
Pawan Jeet Singh (IOFS: 2012) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Agriculture Research & Education for a period of four years.
Swadha Dev Singh (IAS: 2014: OD) has been appointed as Director of the Census Operations/Director of Citizen Registration in the Office of Registrar General of India for a period up to 31.12.2025.
Tenure of Santosh Kumar (IFoS: 1993: AGMUT), CVO, National Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (NHPC), Delhi, has been extended for six months beyond 06.12.2025, up to 06.06.2026.
Jayant Khobragade (IFS: 1995), presently Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Spain, has been concurrently accredited as the next Ambassador of India to the Principality of Andorra, with residence in Madrid.
