The Andhra government has carried out a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre, transferring and appointing several officers as Collectors and District Magistrates across Andhra Pradesh with immediate effect. This comes just two days after the Andhra Pradesh government carried out a major administrative reshuffle on Monday, transferring 11 IAS officers across key departments with immediate effect.
As per the notification, Kritika Shukla, Director of Intermediate Education, has been appointed as the Collector of Palnadu, replacing P. Arun Babu. P. Raja Babu, Secretary of APPSC, will now serve as Collector of Prakasam, while Himanshu Shukla, Director of I&PR, has been posted as Collector of Nellore.
Other key postings include N. Prabhakar Reddy, Joint Secretary in the CCLA office, as Collector of Parvathipuram Manyam, and Nishanth Kumar, Director of Excise & Prohibition, as Collector of Annamayya. Dr. A. Siri, Director of Secondary Health, takes charge as Collector of Kurnool, while Dr. V. Vinod Kumar, former Collector of Anantapur, has been transferred to Bapatla.
Further, Thameem Ansaria A, the outgoing Collector of Prakasam, has been moved to Guntur, succeeding S. Nagalakshmi. S. Rama Sunder Reddy, Commissioner of Rehabilitation & Resettlement, will serve as Collector of Vizianagaram. Kirti Chekuri, JMD of AP TRANSCO, has been appointed as Collector of East Godavari, while O. Anand and A. Shyam Prasad will assume charge as Collectors of Anantapur and Satya Sai districts, respectively.
The government stated that posting orders for other transferred officers will be issued separately. However, it is to be noted that this comes just two days after the Andhra Pradesh government carried out a major administrative reshuffle on Monday, transferring 11 IAS officers across key departments with immediate effect.
Key Transfers on (8th September):
Anil Kumar Singhal has been placed at the disposal of the Revenue (Endowments) Department and appointed as Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). J. Syamala Rao has been relieved as TTD EO and posted as Principal Secretary (Political) in the General Administration Department, replacing Mukesh Kumar Meena.
Mukesh Kumar Meena has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Revenue (Excise) Department, and will also hold full additional charge of Industries & Commerce (Mines). M.T. Krishna Babu moves from Health, Medical & Family Welfare to become Special Chief Secretary, Transport, Roads & Buildings Department, replacing Kantilal Dande, who has been posted as Principal Secretary, EFS&T Department.
Anantha Ramu has been appointed Special Chief Secretary to the Governor, replacing Dr. M. Hari Jawaharlal (Retd.), while Dr. Jawaharlal is now Secretary, Revenue (Endowments) Department, relieving Vadarevu Vinay Chand.
Saurabh Gaur has been shifted from Commissioner of Civil Supplies to Secretary, Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department, while continuing to hold charge of Civil Supplies. Pravin Kumar takes over as Resident Commissioner, AP Bhavan, New Delhi, relieving Saurabh Gaur.
Ch. Sridhar moves from Commissioner, Minorities Welfare, to Secretary, Minorities Welfare Department, retaining full additional charge. M.V. Seshagiri Babu, earlier Commissioner of Labour, is appointed Secretary, Labour, Factories, Boilers & Insurance Medical Services, with additional charge of the same.
