In a sweeping administrative overhaul, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday night transferred 23 IAS officers, including District Magistrates of ten crucial districts such as Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Prayagraj, Bahraich, Gonda, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. This major reshuffle also saw several senior bureaucrats being repositioned in significant departments like Home, Finance, Education, Social Welfare, and Agriculture.
Key District Magistrate Transfers:
- Gorakhpur: Deepak Meena, previously DM of Ghaziabad, appointed as DM.
- Ghaziabad: Ravindra Kumar Mandar, former DM of Prayagraj, takes charge.
- Prayagraj: Manish Kumar Verma, earlier DM of Gautam Buddha Nagar, posted.
- Gautam Buddha Nagar: Medha Roopam, former DM of Kasganj, assumes office.
- Kasganj: Pranay Singh, Additional Commissioner (Administration) Sugarcane and MD, UP Sugar Corp Ltd., named as DM.
- Kanpur Dehat: Kapil Singh, ex-ACEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, becomes DM.
- Bahraich: Akshay Tripathi, earlier DM of Lalitpur, posted as DM.
- Lalitpur: Amandeep Duli, Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch, appointed as DM.
- Mirzapur: Pawan Kumar Gangwar, earlier Special Secretary, assumes charge.
- Gonda: Priyanka Niranjan, previously DM of Mirzapur, becomes the new DM.
Major Departmental Reassignments:
- Home Department: Gaurav Dayal, Divisional Commissioner, Ayodhya, becomes Secretary.
- Ayodhya Division: Rajesh Kumar, Secretary Home & Vigilance, appointed Divisional Commissioner.
- Sugarcane Department: Ministhi S appointed Commissioner, replacing Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, who becomes Secretary, Social Welfare.
- Finance: Dr. Sarika Mohan, ex-Secretary, Basic Education, becomes Secretary.
- Higher Education: Amrit Tripathi, CEO of BIDA, appointed as Secretary.
- BIDA: Vimal Kumar Dubey, Divisional Commissioner of Jhansi, gets additional charge as CEO.
Other Notable Changes:
- Neha Sharma, former DM of Gonda, appointed Inspector General of Registration.
- Monica Rani, former DM of Bahraich, becomes Special Secretary, Basic Education, and Additional Director General, School Education.
- Alok Singh, DM of Kanpur Dehat, made Special Secretary, State Property and Property Officer.
- Jai Nath Yadav, Joint Director, Disabled Empowerment Directorate, appointed Special Secretary, Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch.
- Pranata Aishwarya, Special Secretary, Namami Gange & Rural Water Supply, named Chief Development Officer, Sitapur.
