The Government of Madhya Pradesh is set to host the highly anticipated Growth Conclave 2025 – Building Cities of Tomorrow on Friday at the Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore. Spearheaded by the Urban Development and Housing Department, the conclave aims to chart a forward-looking roadmap for urban transformation across the state.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who is also scheduled to engage directly with leading industrialists and urban sector stakeholders. The conclave is designed to convene a diverse group of participants, including global CEOs, senior corporate executives, diplomats, policymakers, and urban development experts, to explore innovative strategies for shaping resilient and sustainable urban spaces.
A key highlight of the conclave will be a series of sector-focused thematic sessions, addressing four pivotal areas:
- Integrating Technology for Urban Excellence
- Cities as Growth Hubs
- Creating a Sustainable Urban Future
- Mobility for Tomorrow’s Cities
These sessions aim to facilitate meaningful dialogue on the challenges and opportunities in urban governance, smart city development, sustainability, and future-ready mobility. Prominent government leaders, including Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister for Urban Development and Housing, Sanjay Dubey, Additional Chief Secretary, Sanket Bhondve, Commissioner, and Shrikant Banoth, Commissioner of Town and Country Planning, will share insights into the government’s strategic urban agenda.
Unlocking Urban Investment Opportunities
Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a significant push in urban development, supported by robust policy frameworks and investor engagement. During the recent Global Investors Summit, the urban sector attracted proposals exceeding ₹20,000 crore, covering smart cities, modern transportation systems, effective waste management, and affordable housing.
Key urban investment opportunities in the state include:
- Smart Cities and Digital Infrastructure: Expansion of real-time traffic management systems, integrated civic platforms, and e-governance tools.
- Affordable and Rental Housing: Development of inclusive housing projects under public-private partnership models to support growing urban populations.
- Urban Mobility Solutions: Investment in metro rail networks, electric buses, and multimodal transport corridors.
- Green and Resilient Infrastructure: Adoption of sustainable building norms, solar-powered public spaces, and eco-sensitive drainage systems.
- Industrial and Logistics Parks: Establishment of peripheral hubs to enhance MSME productivity and bolster export-oriented logistics.
With its strategic central location, growing urban population, and investor-friendly ecosystem, Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a dynamic destination for urban infrastructure investments. The Growth Conclave 2025 is expected to serve as a catalyst for new policy frameworks, technology collaborations, and investment partnerships that will shape the next generation of urban development in the state.
