
Autodesk, the global leader in design software, has named Ashish Kumar Mittal as the new Director of Public Sector for India and SAARC. The appointment is part of the company’s broader plan to enhance its partnerships with regional government institutions and public sector efforts.
With over three decades of experience in the IT sector, Mittal brings exceptional expertise in public sector engagement, business development, and modernization initiatives. In his new role, he will spearhead Autodesk’s public sector sales strategy and partnerships, engaging with key stakeholders across India and the wider Asia Pacific.

“The public sector remains a critical priority for Autodesk, and Ashish’s extensive experience in government modernization will play a key role in accelerating our efforts,” said Haresh Khoobchandani, Vice President, APAC & Japan, Autodesk.

Mittal expressed enthusiasm about joining Autodesk during India’s fast-paced digital evolution. “India’s public sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation. With Autodesk’s world-class technology, we are well-positioned to contribute to the Government of India’s Viksit Bharat vision by enabling resilient, future-ready infrastructure,” he stated.

A Computer Science and Engineering graduate, Mittal has held senior roles at top technology firms including Zenith, HCL, Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, and ESRI India. He is known for building scalable public sector businesses and forging enduring partnerships with government entities.
