In a wide-ranging administrative shake-up, the Telangana Government on Thursday issued transfer orders for over 35 IAS officers and several non-cadre officials across critical departments and districts. Issued through G.O. Rt. Nos. 779 and 780 by the General Administration (SPL-A) Department, the reshuffle aims to enhance administrative responsiveness and support the state’s evolving governance priorities.
The high-level changes begin with Dr Shashank Goel (IAS:1990), who takes over as Special Chief Secretary and Resident Commissioner of Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi, replacing Gaurav Uppal (IAS:2005). Navin Mittal (IAS:1996) is reassigned from the Revenue Department to the Energy Department as Principal Secretary.
Other key appointments include N. Sridhar (IAS:1997) as Principal Secretary of PR & RD, RWS & RSAD, retaining charge of Mines & Geology; and Dr Jyoti Buddha Prakash (IAS:2002) taking over Housing, Planning, and Telangana Remote Sensing Applications Centre. Lokesh Kumar DS (IAS:2003) now holds additional responsibilities in the Revenue Department and the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration. Gaurav Uppal transitions to Secretary for Coordination (GoI Projects & CSS) in Telangana Bhavan.
