AGMUT

In a significant administrative development, 21 officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) belonging to the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram-Union Territories) cadre from the 2012 to 2016 batches have been promoted to the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG). This promotion represents a pivotal advancement in their bureaucratic journey, equipping them with enhanced responsibilities and enabling them to serve in more senior roles across diverse governance landscapes.

The promoted officers are currently posted across various Union Territories and states under the AGMUT framework, which is known for its unique administrative diversity—ranging from the National Capital Territory of Delhi to remote regions like Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, and Mizoram. The move underscores the government’s continued emphasis on strengthening mid-level leadership within the civil services.
