The Punjab Government has announced the transfer and posting of six IAS officers along with one PCS officer, signalling a renewed push to strengthen governance and streamline departmental leadership across the state.
Among the key developments, 2014-batch IAS officer Jitendra Jorwal, who had been without a posting for nearly a month, has now been appointed as the Taxation Commissioner. Similarly, 2011-batch officer Girish Dayalan, who was transferred last week without an immediate assignment, has been entrusted with dual responsibilities as Additional Commissioner, Excise, and Director General, School Education.
Significant changes also include the appointment of 2008-batch IAS officer Rajiv Prashar as Secretary, Punjab State Human Rights Commission. His new role underscores the government’s emphasis on upholding civil liberties and strengthening institutional support for human rights in the state.
