4 IAS transferred in Bihar, Bandana Preyasi made Secretary Social Welfare Department

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has transferred four senior IAS officers and assigned additional responsibilities to two others. The changes were announced through an official notification issued by the General Administration Department.


As per the new orders, 1992-batch IAS officer Harjot Kaur, who was serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare Department, has been transferred to the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department as Additional Chief Secretary, until further notice.

1993 batch officer Mihir Kumar Singh will continue to hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department.

1997-batch officer Safina A N has been appointed as Divisional Commissioner of Magadh Division, replacing 2000-batch officer Prem Singh Meena, who has now been posted as Additional Member, Revenue Board.

Additionally, 2003 batch IAS officer Bandana Preyasi has been appointed as Secretary of the Social Welfare Department, while 2004-batch officer Kundan Kumar will continue to hold the additional charge of the Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA).
