Ministry of Labour

New Delhi, February 10, 2025: In a significant step toward enhancing employment opportunities for job seekers, the Ministry of Labour & Employment (MoLE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FoundIt (formerly Monster) in the presence of Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya. The agreement aims to facilitate both domestic and international job placements through the National Career Service (NCS) portal.

Dr Mandaviya highlighted the pivotal role of the NCS Portal in connecting job seekers with potential employers at national and international levels. He stated that the platform, which adds approximately 3,000 to 4,000 job postings daily, is set to receive over 1.25 lakh international vacancies and 10 lakh domestic vacancies annually through this collaboration. This initiative is expected to significantly strengthen employment prospects for Indian youth.

Strengthening Job Connectivity through the NCS Portal

The NCS Portal has emerged as a key employment-generation platform, bridging the skill gap and offering career opportunities across various industries. With over 40 lakh employers registered, the portal has facilitated more than 4.40 crore vacancies since its inception. At any given time, it offers around 10 lakh active job postings, ensuring a steady stream of employment opportunities for Indian job seekers.

Expanding its reach globally, the NCS Portal is integrated with the e-Migrate platform, enabling job seekers to access credible overseas job opportunities. Over 500 recruitment agencies registered with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) have been onboarded under this initiative. DDrMandaviya emphasised that this effort ensures that Indian professionals can secure reliable and verified employment abroad.

Encouraging youth participation, the Minister urged job seekers to register on the NCS Portal to take advantage of the extensive employment opportunities available. He also highlighted the integration of the NCS Portal with My Bharat and SIDH, initiatives aimed at bridging skill gaps and improving employability.

Global Employment Prospects and Inclusive Hiring

MoLE Secretary, Smt. Sumita Dawra noted that several countries, including Germany, Finland, and nations in the Middle East, are actively seeking skilled workers for both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. This MoU is expected to enhance the ability of the NCS Portal to facilitate these vacancies and improve career prospects for Indian workers.

Suresh, CEO of FoundIt, welcomed the partnership, aligning it with the government’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ by building inclusive and widespread employment opportunities. He reiterated the importance of employment as a driver of economic growth and praised the government’s continuous efforts to connect job seekers with meaningful career prospects.

Key Benefits of the MoU:

  • Expanded Job Market: Job seekers registered on the NCS Portal will gain access to employment opportunities in India as well as in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
  • Seamless Integration: FoundIt will post job listings on the NCS Portal, gathering employer demands from various regions and industries and integrating them via APIs for smooth accessibility.
  • Inclusive Hiring: The NCS Portal prioritises job opportunities for women and persons with disabilities, ensuring a fair and diverse hiring process.
  • Access to a Wider Talent Pool: The MoU will allow FoundIt to leverage the extensive database of the NCS Portal, streamlining recruitment for employers across sectors.
