IPS transferre


In a routine administrative move, the Tamil Nadu government has announced the transfer and posting of three IPS officers, effective immediately. The reshuffle aims to optimise departmental operations and fill key vacancies.

Key Appointments:


  • Vishwesh Balasubramaniam Shastri (2017-batch IPS): Transferred from Superintendent of Police, Chennai, to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, North, Greater Chennai Police, replacing P. Kumar.
  • P. Kumar (IPS): Shifted from Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, North, to Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, South, addressing an existing vacancy.
  • S. Vijayakumar (IPS): Assigned as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli, to fill an existing vacancy.
