In a significant administrative move, the Haryana government has executed a large-scale reshuffle involving 44 IAS officers, marking the first major overhaul since the new administration took office. Announced late on Sunday, December 1, this reshuffle aims to infuse fresh leadership into critical departments and strengthen governance across the state.
Prominent Appointments in Key Departments
Anurag Rastogi, a 1990 batch IAS officer, has been entrusted with the Finance Commissioner Revenue (FCR) role alongside responsibilities for the Finance and Disaster Management departments. Sumita Mishra, also of the 1990 batch, has been appointed as the new Home Secretary, with the Home Ministry continuing under Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini’s direct supervision.
Sudhir Rajpal, another officer from the 1990 batch, will serve as Additional Chief Secretary for Medical Education Research and AYUSH, in addition to handling Health and Aviation portfolios.
Other Key Changes
Transport: Ashok Khemka (1991 batch) has been named Additional Chief Secretary for the Transport Department.
Industries & Commerce: D. Suresh takes over as Resident Commissioner at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, alongside roles as Principal Secretary for Industries and Commerce.
Urban Development & Aviation: Shyamal Mishra will manage multiple responsibilities, including Chief Administrator of the Haryana Trade Fair Authority, CEO of the Faridabad and Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authorities, and Principal Secretary of Civil Aviation.

Sauji Rajni Kanthan: Transport Commissioner.
Phoolchand Meena: Commissioner, Ambala Division.
A. Shri Niwas: Commissioner, Hisar Division, and MD of South Haryana Electricity Corporation.
Anand Mohan Sharan: Heads the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, along with Environment, Forest, and Wildlife.
Vineet Garg: Chairman, Haryana State Pollution Control Board, and in charge of Higher Education.
Additional Appointments
Amit Kumar Agarwal: Commissioner and Secretary for Development and Panchayat, Information and Public Relations, and Foreign Departments.
Rajiv Ranjan: Principal Secretary, Fisheries, and Labor.
Vijay Singh Dahiya: Head of Printing and Animal Husbandry Departments.
Amneet P Kumar has been assigned the responsibility of Women and Child Development Department and Archives Department.

Social Welfare and Sports
Ashima Barar transitions from the Chief Minister’s office to serve as Commissioner for Social Justice, Empowerment, and SC/ST Welfare, alongside roles in Antyodaya, Excise and Taxation, and Haryana Electricity Transmission Corporation. Sanjeev Verma assumes leadership of the Sports, AYUSH, and Foreign Cooperation Departments, while Mohammad Sain has been designated Commissioner and Secretary for Public Health Engineering.
