In a major late-night administrative shake-up, the Madhya Pradesh government has reassigned 26 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to various crucial departments. Key sectors impacted by this reshuffle include energy, urban development, welfare, and industry.

Manu Shrivastava, who was Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Energy and Renewable Energy, now takes charge as ACS for Renewable Energy and Sports Welfare. Neeraj Mandloi, formerly ACS of Urban Development, becomes ACS of the Energy Department and will also serve as Managing Director of MP Power Management Company.

Sanjay Shukla transitions from Principal Secretary (PS) of Women and Child Development to PS of Urban Development. Umakant Umrao, earlier PS of Labour, will now handle Mining, Labour, and Animal Husbandry. Raghvendra Kumar Singh, previously PS to the Chief Minister, is the new PS for Industrial Policy and Promotion and MSME.

Gulshan Bamra shifts from PS of Environment to PS of Tribal Welfare. E Ramesh Kumar, ex-PS of Tribal Welfare, now leads the Social Justice and Empowerment Welfare Department. Navneet Kothari, Secretary of MSME, becomes Secretary of Environment and Director General of EPCO.

Sriman Shukla, Shahdol Commissioner, moves to Commissioner for Tribal Development. Madan Vibbhishan Nagargoje, of the Revenue Board in Gwalior, has been named Commissioner of Handicrafts and Handlooms. Surbhi Gupta, Secretary of Health and the AIDS Control Society, will now serve as Shahdol’s Commissioner.

Dilip Kumar transitions from MD of the State Agro Industries Corporation to Commissioner of Industries and MD of LUN. Priyanka Das, Mission Director of the National Health Mission, becomes Additional Secretary for MSME. Priti Maithil, previously Additional Secretary in Labour, is now Additional Secretary for Horticulture and Food Processing.

Manish Singh, MP Housing Board Commissioner, takes over as Additional Secretary for Transport and MD of the State Transport Corporation. Anurag Choudhary, MD of the State Mining Corporation, becomes Additional Secretary for OBC and Minorities Welfare. Mohit Bundas, MD of Handlooms, is now Commissioner for Sericulture.

Manoj Pusp, Director of Panchayat Raj, is posted as OSD-Joint Commissioner and Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Gautam Singh, Skill Development Mission Director, now serves as Additional Secretary for Revenue. Girish Sharma, Additional Secretary in GAD, will lead as Mission Director for Skill Development.

Pankaj Jain, MD of MP Bhawan, retains his role while adding MD of the MP Pollution Control Board (PCB) to his responsibilities. Nidhi Nivedita moves from MD of Women Finance and Development Corporation to MD of the Fisheries Federation. Kumar Purshottam is appointed MD of the Agriculture Marketing Board and Commissioner, Mandi.

Uma Maheshwari R, Additional Mission Director at the State Education Centre, will serve as OSD-cum-Commissioner-cum-Director of Indian Medical System and Homeopathy. Dr. Saloni Sidana, formerly in that role, is now Mission Director for the National Health Mission. Suhismitha Saxena, Deputy Secretary in Revenue, will transition to Deputy Secretary of the Public Health and Medical Education Department.
