Union Minister of Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, officially launched Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)’s refreshed logo and seven new customer-centric services. This event marks a significant step in BSNL’s strategy to offer secure, affordable, and reliable telecom services across India. The unveiling took place at Bharat Sanchar Bhavan, with the Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, in attendance, alongside senior officials from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), BSNL, and other key organizations.
BSNL’s New Role as a Technology Leader During his speech, Minister Scindia emphasized BSNL’s transformation, noting that it has evolved from being a follower to becoming a leader in India’s telecom industry. “Thanks to the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, BSNL is now at the forefront of delivering innovative, indigenous solutions that serve the country,” he remarked.
Minister Scindia highlighted the company’s upcoming 5G deployment, with successful trials of Indigenous 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) and core technologies in both the 3.6 GHz and 700 MHz frequency bands. By mid-2025, BSNL plans to upgrade a significant number of its planned 100,000 4G sites to 5G, ensuring advanced connectivity across India.
