REC disburses ₹90,955 crore loan in H1 FY25, Green Energy Loans surge by 92.68%

REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE under the Ministry of Power and leading NBFC, disbursed Rs90,955 crore in loans during H1 FY25, reflecting a 20.10% year-on-year (YoY) rise. Notably, renewable energy loans saw an impressive 92.68% YoY growth, reaching Rs11,297 crore, underlining REC’s increasing emphasis on green energy financing.


In Q2 FY25, REC disbursed Rs47,303 crore in loans, a 13.71% YoY increase from Rs41,598 crore in Q2 FY24. Renewable energy loans in Q2 grew 37.35% YoY to Rs5,946 crore, with renewable energy’s share rising from 10% to 13%.
