Nayab Singh Saini

Nayab Singh Saini took oath as the Chief Minister of Haryana for a second consecutive term on Thursday, marking a significant milestone in the state’s political landscape. The swearing-in ceremony was officiated by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, with several key figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief ministers, and Union ministers, in attendance. The BJP’s win in this election also marks the party’s third consecutive term in Haryana, making it the first party to achieve this in the state’s history.

In the recent Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP secured 48 seats in the 90-member assembly, while the Congress followed with 37 seats. Saini, 54, was unanimously chosen as the leader of the BJP legislature during a meeting held in Panchkula a day before the oath-taking ceremony. The BJP had earlier made it clear that Saini would retain his position as chief minister if the party won the election.

Along with Saini, several prominent BJP leaders were sworn in as cabinet ministers, further strengthening the leadership team for the upcoming term. Among those taking the oath were Anil Vij, Krishan Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir Singh, Mahipal Dhanda, and Vipul Goel. Additional ministers inducted into the cabinet included Arvind Kumar Sharma, Krishan Bedi, Shyam Singh Rana, and Ranbir Singh Gangwa.

Ahead of his swearing-in, Saini visited Valmiki Bhawan and offered prayers at both a gurdwara and the Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula. During his interactions with the media, Saini expressed his gratitude to the people of Haryana for their continued support of the BJP. He reiterated the party’s commitment to furthering the development of the state, with a focus on accelerating progress under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

The new cabinet includes seasoned leaders like Anil Vij, who represents Ambala Cantt, and Krishan Lal Panwar, who won from Israna. Other prominent leaders include Mahipal Dhanda from Panipat Rural and Vipul Goel from Faridabad, all bringing significant experience to the administration.

With this leadership team in place, the BJP aims to continue driving Haryana‘s growth and development in line with the central government’s strategic vision.
