In a significant administrative shake-up, the Uttarakhand government transferred 45 officers, including 40 IAS and 5 PCS officers, as part of a major reshuffle announced on Wednesday. Key changes include the reassignment of two principal secretaries and several district magistrates in prominent regions.

Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu, a 1997 batch IAS officer, has been relieved from his post as Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department but will continue to serve as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and oversee the Departments of Forest, Environment Protection, and Climate Change. Lalrinliana Fanai has been replaced by Ranjit Kumar Sinha as Principal Secretary of Minority Welfare and Chairman of Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation.

Other notable changes include new district magistrates for Dehradun, Haridwar, and Almora. Savin Bansal has been appointed as the new DM of Dehradun, replacing Sonika, who now takes charge of the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA). Dhiraj Garbyal has been removed as DM of Haridwar and replaced by Karmendra Singh. Alok Kumar Pandey will now serve as the DM of Almora.

The reshuffle also affects the Chief Minister’s office, with R. Meenakshi Sundaram being replaced by Deepak Rawat as Secretary to the Chief Minister.
