The Union Government has issued notifications for several key appointments and tenure extensions across various ministries and departments. Notable promotions include Govind Singhal, who has been empanelled for promotion to the grade of Commissioner of Income Tax in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax). Agam Mittal of the CSS cadre has been appointed as Additional PS to the Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shripad Naik, while Bharat Maheshwari (IFoS) has taken on the role of Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Harish Malhotra.
Additional appointments include Alkesh Uttam (IRS IT) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, and Narayan Ramchandra Gambhir as OSD to the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi. Priya Ranjan (IFoS) has been granted an ex-post facto extension as Managing Director of the National Horticulture Board, and Gopal Prasad (IES) has been repatriated to his parent cadre.
Tenure extensions include Ajay Kumar Garg (IAS) in Delhi, Anita Rupavataram (IRS IT) in Mumbai, and Manoj Kumar as Director (Technical) at UCIL. Praveen Kumar has been appointed Managing Director of DFCCIL, Anil Kumar Jadli as Director (HR) at NTPC, and Sivakumar V Vepakomma as Director (Power System) at SECI.
