The Punjab government on 3rd August transferred and shifted nine IAS officers in the state.

Following are the key appointments:

1. Alok Shekhar (1994 batch) has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary of Jails, with additional charge of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, and Fisheries.
2. Tejveer Singh (1994 batch) is now the Additional Chief Secretary of Local Government, retaining additional Industries and Commerce and Information Technology charges.
3. Ajoy Sharma (1999 batch) has been transferred to Principal Secretary in Tourism and Culture Affairs, with additional responsibilities in Forests and Wildlife Preservation and Governance Reforms.
4. Rahul Tiwari (2000 batch) will now serve as the Administrative Secretary in Science, Technology, and Environment, with additional charges in Housing and Urban Development, Power, and CMD of Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd.
5. Kumar Rahul (2000 batch) moved to the position of Administrative Secretary in Health and Family Welfare.
6. Gurpreet Kaur Sapra (2005 batch) has been appointed Secretary in Personnel, with additional charges in General Administration and Coordination, Vigilance, and Commissioner in Roopnagar Division.
7. Dilraj Singh (2005 batch) is now Administrative Secretary in Rural Development and Panchayats, retaining additional charges in Transport and Parliamentary Affairs.
8. Amit Dhaka (2006 batch) continues as Administrative Secretary in Planning, with an additional charge as Director of MGSIPA.
9. Pardeep Kumar (2007 batch) has been posted as Commissioner in Jalandhar Division.
