In a significant move to enhance governance and bring fresh leadership to various districts and departments, the Madhya Pradesh government has executed a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 26 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The late-night announcement on Saturday saw the appointment of new collectors in eight districts, marking a critical shift in the state’s administrative landscape.

New District Collectors Appointed:

  1. Vidisha – Roshan Kumar has been appointed as the new collector, bringing with him a wealth of experience in public administration.
  2. Dindori – Harsh Singh will now lead the district, taking over the reins to steer local governance and development.
  3. Anuppur – Harshal Pancholi has been named the new collector, expected to drive key initiatives in the district.
  4. Neemuch – Himanshu Chandra assumes the role of collector, with a focus on improving administrative efficiency.
  5. Balaghat – Mrinal Meena has been entrusted with the leadership of the district, aiming to implement strategic reforms.
  6. Rajgarh – Girish Kumar Mishra has been appointed as the new collector, tasked with overseeing development projects and governance.
  7. Shahdol– Kedar Singh steps into the role of collector, bringing a dynamic approach to district administration.
  8. Mandla – Somesh Mishra takes charge as the new collector, expected to lead the district with innovative strategies.

Other Notable Transfers:
The reshuffle also includes several key departmental changes:

  1. Vikas Mishra (formerly with Dindori) has been reassigned as Under Secretary in the Planning, Economics, and Statistics Department, where he will play a crucial role in state planning and economic development.
  2. Tanvi Sundriyal has been appointed as the Director of Budget, a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the state’s financial management.
  3. Aman Vaishnav has been named the Commissioner of Gwalior Municipal Corporation, where he will focus on urban development and public service delivery.
  4. Sanjeev Singh takes over as Commissioner of Bhopal Division, a significant role in managing the capital’s administrative functions
  5. Anshul Gupta has been appointed as the Director of the Public Relations Department, where he will lead state communication strategies and public outreach.
