The Madhya Pradesh government executed a significant bureaucratic reshuffle on Wednesday night, transferring 12 IAS officers. This move comes a day after the transfer of nine other IAS officers.

Sanjay Dubey, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), with additional charges. Dubey was previously the Principal Secretary of the Science and Technology Department.

Manish Rastogi, a 1993-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from the General Administration Department (GAD) to the Finance Department as Principal Secretary.

The Madhya Pradesh government cancelled Amit Rathore‘s appointment as Principal Secretary of the Finance Department within 24 hours. Rathore will continue as Principal Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department.

In an earlier reshuffle on August 10, the Madhya Pradesh government transferred 26 IAS officers, including eight district collectors and 21 IPS officers.

List of 12 Transferred Officers

1. Sanjay Dubey (1993 Batch): Transferred as Principal Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD); retains additional charges in the GAD (M.P. Administrative Services) and Legal & Vigilance Cell; continues as Principal Secretary, Science & Technology Department (Additional Charge).
2. Manish Rastogi (1994 Batch): Transferred to Principal Secretary, Finance Department from the General Administration Department.
3. Illaiya Raja T. (2009 Batch)): Appointed Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Bhopal, with additional charge as additional secretary of the Department of Tourism and chief minister’s office.
4. Manish Singh (2009): Transferred from Registrar, Madhya Pradesh State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, Bhopal to Commissioner, Housing and Infrastructure Development Board, Bhopal.
5. Rakhi Sahay (2015): Deputy Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Indore, has been appointed as Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Financial Corporation.
6. Ashish Tiwari (2016): Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Sehore has been appointed Additional Secretary, Water Resources Department
7. Jayati Singh (2016): CEO-District Panchayat, Jabalpur, has been transferred as CEO-District Panchayat, Ujjain
8. Kirti Khurasiya (2016): Regional Manager, Civil Supplies Corporation, Indore, has been transferred as Deputy Secretary, Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Indore.
9. Rahul Namdev Dhote (2017): Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Sidhi transferred as Additional Secretary, Narmada Valley Development Department.
10. Yogesh Tukaram Bharsat (2017): Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Vidisha, has been made CEO of Ayushman Bharat.
11. Dr Saurabh Sanjay Sonawane (2017): appointed commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Rewa. He has been relieved of his duty as Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Rewa.
12. Guru Prasad (2017): Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat, Neemuch has been made Managing Director, State Wide Area Network (SWAN), Bhopal, and an additional charge of Director, State Computer Security Incident Response Team (CCCIPE).

List of officers transferred on 20th August

1. Anupam Rajan, previously the Chief Electoral Officer, was reassigned to the Higher Education Department.
2. Sukhveer Singh, Principal Secretary of horticulture and Food Processing, was made the new chief electoral officer.
3. Amit Rathore, Principal Secretary of Commercial Tax, had been appointed Principal Secretary of Finance, replacing Manish Singh, who is headed for central deputation.
4. Ajit Kumar, Secretary of Finance, has been deputed to the Central Government for five years and appointed as Joint Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India.
5. Shreeman Shukla, Managing Director of Mandi Board and Secretary, Planning and Economic Statistics, has been appointed Commissioner of Shahdol.
6. Sibi Chakraborty, Managing Director of Metro Rail Corporation, has been appointed Commissioner of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection.
7. Rishi Garg, Deputy Secretary of Cottage and Village Industries, has been appointed Member Secretary of the Planning Commission and Commissioner of Economic Statistics.
8. S. Krishna Chaitanya, CEO of the Employment Guarantee Council, has been appointed as managing director of Metro Rail Corporation.
9. Deputy Secretary Avi Prasad has been appointed CEO of the Employment Guarantee Council.

Additional responsibilities include

• Anirudh Mukherjee, Special Duty Officer, MP Bhavan, has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary, Public Asset Management Department.
• M. Selvendran, Secretary, Agriculture, has been appointed as Managing Director, Mandi Board.
• Dhanraj S., Commissioner of Commercial Tax, Indore, has been appointed as Secretary the Commercial Tax Department.
