In a significant reshuffle of the administration department, the Gujarat government transferred 10 IAS officers on Tuesday. Sujeet Kumar, a repatriated officer, has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation. Shweta Teotia, Narmada District Collector, has been transferred as the Director of Administration for Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.

The General Administration Department’s notification also revealed that Ratankanvar Gadhvicharan has been reassigned from his role as State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to Collector of Sabarkantha-Himmatnagar, replacing N N Dave, who will now serve as District Collector of Valsad. A R Jha is relieved of the additional charge.

In other changes, S K Modi, Gandhinagar’s District Development Officer (DDO), will succeed Shweta Teotia as Narmada Collector. S D Dhanani, DDO of Devbhumi-Dwarka, has been named District Collector of Porbandar, taking over from K D Lakhani, who has been appointed Director of Labour in Gandhinagar, replacing Anupam Anand.

Outgoing Municipal Commissioner of Bhavnagar N V Upadhyay is now the Registrar of Cooperative Societies in Gandhinagar, relieving Narander Kumar Meena of the additional charge. Lalit Narayan Sandhu will replace Gadhvicharan as State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan while continuing his role as Managing Director of the Gujarat State Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation.

Additionally, B J Patel, previously the Additional Inspector General of Registration for the Vadodara Zone, has been appointed as the DDO of Gandhinagar, replacing S K Modi.
