In a significant development, Jaspal Singh, a 1996-batch IPS officer from the AGMUT cadre, has been appointed as the Special Commissioner of Delhi Police. He also served as the Director General of Police (DGP) for Goa Police. His tenure as DGP of Goa Police was characterised by proactive measures against crime and initiatives to enhance public safety.

HS Dhaliwal Dhaliwal appointed DGP Andaman & Nicobar Islands

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, a 1997-batch IPS officer, as the Director General of Police (DGP) of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Dhaliwal last served as the Special Commissioner of Police in New Delhi, overseeing traffic zone II.

He was instrumental in solving high-profile cases such as the Dhaula Kuan gangrape, journalist Saumya Vishwanathan’s murder, and the Jigisha Ghosh murder case. He also played a pivotal role in investigating the murder case involving Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moosewala.


Parul Kush Jain Appointed Deputy Inspector General in SSB

Parul Kush Jain, a 2004-batch West Bengal cadre IPS officer, was appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for a five-year term, as per an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mitesh Jain Appointed Inspector General in CRPF

Mitesh Jain, an IPS officer, was recently appointed as the Inspector General (IG) in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for a five-year term as per an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
