In a new appointment in the PSU world, Chandra Sekhar Davuluri has been named Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC).
With an impressive tenure at ONGC since January 2016, and previous experience with the company between 1989-1994 as AEE, Chandra Sekhar Davuluri has held key roles including CGM (E&T), GM (E&T), and DGM (E&T).
ONGC, a Maharatna company, is India’s largest producer of crude oil and natural gas, contributing around 70% of the country’s domestic production. The crude oil produced by ONGC is a vital raw material for downstream companies such as IOC, BPCL, and HPCL, which convert it into petroleum products like petrol, diesel, kerosene, naphtha, and cooking gas (LPG).

Ranked as India’s top energy company and 14th among global energy majors (Platts), ONGC is the only Indian company on Fortune’s ‘Most Admired Energy Companies’ list. It ranks 226th on the Forbes Global 2000 and is highly regarded for its corporate governance, with Transparency International ranking ONGC 26th among the biggest publicly traded global giants. ONGC is India’s most valued public enterprise and one of the highest profit-making and dividend-paying companies.
