Five IPS promoted to Joint Director rank in CBI, Check List

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has announced the promotion of five Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from the 2005 batch, currently serving as Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), to the rank of Joint Director. The officers and their respective appointments are as follows:

  1. S Veeresh Prabhu (IPS: 2005: MH) appointed as Joint Director, CBI, until October 13, 2027.
  2. Rajiv Ranjan (IPS: 2005: SK) appointed as Joint Director, CBI, until May 30, 2026.
  3. Sumedha Dwivedi (IPS: 2005: HP) appointed as Joint Director, CBI, until February 7, 2029.
  4. Vijayendra Bidari (IPS: 2005: TN) appointed as Joint Director, CBI, until July 18, 2024.
  5. Sharada Raut (IPS: 2005: MH) appointed as Joint Director, CBI, until July 25, 2024.
