Union Government announces new appointments and extensions, Maninder Kaur Dwivedi made Commissioner NESTS

The Central Government issued notifications regarding appointments and extensions on Friday. Here are the key updates:


Maninder Kaur Dwivedi (IAS: 1995: CG), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been given the additional responsibility of Commissioner (JS level) at the National Educational Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) for a three-month period.

Sarah Sharma (IPS: 2010: OD) has been appointed as DIG in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a term of five years.

Dr. Vidyut Vikas (IRS C&IT: 2008), currently serving as SP in the CBI, has been granted an extension until February 18, 2025.


P Murugan (IPS: 2010: JH), serving as DIG in the CBI, has been granted an extension until March 15, 2027.

Sapna Devireddy (IRS IT: 2010), who is currently Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, has been redesignated as Director in the same department for a tenure lasting until December 21, 2028, totaling five years. Her central deputation tenure begins from December 22, 2023.
