Narendra Modi

In a significant push towards enhancing infrastructure and connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to launch a series of development projects valued at over Rs 19,100 crore in Bulandshahr, western Uttar Pradesh today.

One of the key highlights of the event will be the inauguration of the 173-km-long double-line electrified section between New Khurja and New Rewari on the dedicated freight corridor (DFC). PM Modi is scheduled to remotely flag off goods trains from both stations, marking the initiation of operations on this vital freight corridor.

The newly developed DFC section holds particular importance for establishing crucial connectivity between the western and eastern freight corridors.

Engineered as an impressive feat, the section features a one-kilometre-long double-line rail tunnel with high-rise electrification, a pioneering initiative on a global scale. This tunnel is specifically designed to facilitate the smooth operation of double-stack container trains, enhancing efficiency and reducing congestion on the tracks.

In addition to the DFC, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the fourth rail line connecting Mathura-Palwal and Chipiyana Buzurg-Dadri sections. The agenda also includes multiple road development projects, collectively costing over Rs 5,000 crore, aimed at significantly improving connectivity and fostering economic development in the region.

Among the major projects scheduled for inauguration is the Tundla-Gawaria pipeline by Indian Oil and the “integrated industrial township at Greater Noida” (IITGN). Developed at a cost of Rs 1,714 crore, IITGN spans 747 acres and aligns with the PM-GatiShakti initiative.

The strategic location of IITGN, near the intersection of eastern and western dedicated freight corridors, Eastern Peripheral Expressway to the south, and the Delhi-Howrah broad gauge railway line to the east, ensures unparalleled connectivity.
