In a recent development, Santosh Kumar Jha has been recommended to take over as the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL), a prominent PSU under the Ministry of Railways. This recommendation was made by the Public Enterprises Selection Panel (PESB) panel on Thursday.

Currently serving as the Director (Operations & Commercial) within the organization, Jha was chosen from a pool of five candidates interviewed by the PESB selection panel during its meeting held on November 2. With over 28 years of experience in operations, infrastructure planning, and business development, Jha has also held pivotal positions as the head of operations on major divisions of Indian Railways.

Simultaneously, Koppu Sadashiv Murthy, an Electrical Engineering graduate from Bhopal University with an MBA in Finance, has taken over as the CMD of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) after his appointment. Murthy, who joined BHEL in 1989 at its Jhansi manufacturing unit, comes with 34 years of extensive experience in strategic, operational, project, and commercial management. Before this new role, he served as the Executive Director of the Corporate Operations Management group at BHEL, also holding additional responsibilities as the Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Pumps and Compressors Limited (BPCL).

Meanwhile, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), an initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, has welcomed Anupama Priyadarshini as the Senior Vice President – Corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance, and Investor Relations. Priyadarshini, with a career spanning 25 years, brings extensive expertise from diverse sectors, including retail, steel manufacturing, and beverages. She spent 14 years with IKEA, holding various roles such as CFO, business navigation manager, and director for IKEA Supply, South Asia.
