
In a significant achievement, the NTPC Group has successfully reached an installed capacity of 73,024 megawatts (MW) at the renowned Barh Super Thermal Power Project located in Bihar. This milestone was accomplished following the commissioning of Unit-2, which possesses a remarkable capacity of 660 MW in Stage-I, alongside two other units of the same capacity.
As a result, the overall installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC Group has now reached an impressive 57,038 MW and 73,024 MW, respectively. This remarkable feat highlights NTPC’s commitment to expanding its power generation capabilities and serving the nation’s growing energy needs.
In a media release, NTPC emphasized its dedication to attaining a renewable energy capacity of 60,000 MW by the year 2032, showcasing its commitment to a sustainable and green future. The company aims to leverage a diverse portfolio comprising thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants to deliver reliable, affordable, and environmentally friendly electricity to the nation.
