Eight IAS transferred in UP, Sandeep Kaur made Director, Women Welfare

In a fresh bureaucratic reshuffle, the UP government on Friday transferred eight IAS officers.


Prem Prakash Singh, who previously held the position of special secretary in the labour department, has now been appointed as the Special Secretary of the revenue department. Additionally, Rakesh Kumar Mishra has taken on the role of Managing Director, overseeing UP Jal Nigam Urban Lucknow. IAS Anand Kumar Singh II has been appointed as the Managing Director of PCDF Lucknow, while Kunal Silku, the former managing director of PCDF, has been reassigned as the Special Secretary in the Labour Department.

Sandeep Kaur, a distinguished woman IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Women Welfare, showcasing the government’s commitment to gender empowerment.

The following officers have been subject to transfers:


IAS officer Ravindra Kumar has been relieved of his additional responsibility as the managing director of UP Jal Nigam Urban Lucknow. However, he will continue to hold the position of Secretary in the Urban Development Department and State Mission Director for Amrit and AMRUT 2.0 initiatives.

Reena Singh, who formerly served as the Staff Officer Chairman at the Revenue Council Uttar Pradesh, has been transferred and appointed as the Registrar of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University.

Furthermore, Shrihari Pratap Shahi has been appointed as the Additional Chief Executive Officer of UPDA Lucknow, aiming to bring his expertise to the development and progress of the region. Sandeep Kaur has been entrusted with the crucial responsibility of overseeing the welfare of women in her role as the Director of Women Welfare.
