10 IAS transferred in West Bengal, Anil Verma made ACS Agriculture

In a fresh bureaucratic move, the West Bengal government under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, has shuffled 10 IAS Officers across the state.

Anil Verma, an IAS officer from the 1989 batch, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Agriculture Marketing Department. He was previously serving as the Chairman of the West Bengal Valuation Board.

Meanwhile, R Arjun, an IAS officer from the 2010 batch, has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, with the additional responsibility of Director of Tourism. Prior to this, he held the position of Senior Special Secretary in the Tribal Development Department.

Ritendra Narayan Basu Roy Choudhury, an IAS officer from the 2010 batch, has been appointed as the Director of Small Savings. He was previously serving as the Managing Director of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, with an additional responsibility as the Director of Tourism.

Avadh Singhal, an IAS officer from the 2020 batch, who is currently serving as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department, has been assigned the position of Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal.

Raunak Agarwal, an IAS officer from the 2020 batch, who is presently working as OSD in the Finance Department, has been appointed as the SDO of Ranaghat, Nadia. On the other hand, Dr. Haaris Rasheed, an IAS officer from the 2010 batch, who was previously the SDO of Ranaghat, Nadia, has been posted as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Dakshin Dinajpur.

Ezaz Ahmed, an IAS officer from the 2018 batch, who is currently serving as the SDO of Kurseong, Darjeeling, has been appointed as the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Nadia.

Dr. Vijay Bharti, an IAS officer from the 2005 batch, who is presently the Commissioner of Burdwan Division and holds the rank of Secretary to the State Government, has been assigned the role of CEO of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority. Niranjan Kumar, an IAS officer from the 2007 batch, who is currently the Secretary of KMDA, has been appointed as the Registrar of Co-operative Societies in West Bengal.

Devi Prasad Karnam, an IAS officer from the 2008 batch, who is presently the Managing Director of WB Essential Commodities Supply Corporation Ltd and the Senior Special Secretary of the Food and Supplies Department, has been appointed as the Senior Special Secretary of the Finance Department in West Bengal.
