Haryana’s Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal’s tireless efforts to enhance the road and rail networks in the National Capital Region have paid off, as the state has received approval for the Rs.5618 crore Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project.
The project will stretch 121.7 kilometres from Palwal to Sonipat, passing through Delhi. All rail routes beginning in Delhi and passing through Haryana will be linked as a result of this.
As a result of Sh. Manohar Lal’s efforts, the state obtained a gift from the Centre of four projects worth approximately Rs.6,629 crore.

The Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor will not only increase the connectivity of its adjoining areas, but will also provide a major boost in setting up of industrial and logistics centers in Haryana.

This corridor will prove to be a milestone for Haryana’s CM dream to develop Panchagram in the NCR region.

Recently, Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah and the Union Railway Minister, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnav visited Harayana to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of these projects.
Both Union Ministers praised Haryana Chief Minister’s efforts to improve connectivity in Delhi and its neighbouring areas, which are unquestionably noteworthy.
It would not be incorrect to conclude that as a result of these efforts, the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor project has arrived in Haryana, which will undoubtedly be a big step toward meeting public demand by 2031.
Some highlights about the project
The HORC, which connects Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar, and Kharkhoda, is a broad gauge double railway line that bypasses the rail network of the Delhi area. It will connect the Dedicated Freight Corridors (DFC) with five sections of Indian Railways, boosting economic activity in the region.
Part-A of HORC consists of a 30 km route length with five new railway stations (Dhulawat, Chandala Dungerwas, Pachgaon, Manesar, and New Patli), 11.4 km of railway network connectivity at Patli and Sultanpur, and 4.8 km of DFC network connectivity at New Tauru.
Meanwhile, Part-B of the HORC is 96 kilometres long, with 12 new railway stations and 6.28 kilometres of connecting lines to the railway and DFC networks at three interchange sites (New Prithala, Asaudah and New Haryana Kalan).
