The Punjab government on Tuesday gave additional charge of Principal Secretary, Information and Public Relations and Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs to Rahul Bhandari.
Bhandari, who is a 1997- batch IAS officer, is presently posted as Principal Secretary, Technical Education and Industrial Training.
After assuming charges of both the departments, Bhandari held separate meetings with Director Information and Public Relations Sonali Giri and Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Ghanshyam Thorhi to discuss various issues pertaining to their respective departments.
The Principal Secretary said that he would accord top priority to further bringing efficiency and transparency in the functioning of the departments to achieve the goals and aspirations of the Punjab government.
