Amidst a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the Centre, the Government of India has cleared the appointment of more than 43 officers to the post of Joint Secretary and Additional Secretary across ministries and departments.

1. Geetha Meetina (IAS 1997-Batch) has been assigned the charge of Joint Secretary (JS), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare for a tenure of five years.
2. Rajbir S Panwar (IFS 1991-Batch) will be taking over the charge of Managing Director (JS level), National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare up to the date of his superannuation which is April 30, 2023.
3. Satyendra Singh (IFS 1986-Batch) has been given the post of MD (JS level), National Horticulture Board (NHB), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. Singh will be serving the charge for five years or up to the date of his superannuation which is February 28, 2027.
4. Chaitanya Murti (IFS 1995-Batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Bio-Technology.
5. Srikant Nagulapalli (IAS 1998-Batch) has been posted as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
6. Puneet Kansal (IAS 1996-Batch) will take over the post of Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat. For this, the post of Additional Secretary has been temporarily downgraded to the Joint Secretary level.
7. M Balaji (IAS 2005-Batch) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce.
8. Krishan Kumar (IAS 2002-Batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce.
9. Inderdeep Singh Dhariwal (IA&AS 1992-Batch) gets the post of Joint Secretary for the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
10. Harpreet Singh (IPoS 1992-Batch) has been made Joint Secretary for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER).
11. Rajesh Singh (IPoS 1998-Batch) will be taking over the charge of Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).
12. Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu (IAS 1997-Batcj) has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (JS level), MyGov, MeitY.
13. Abhishek Singh (IAS 1995-Batch) has been made Chief Executive Officer, National e-Governance Division (NeGD), MeitY.
14. Vivek Chandra Verma (IOFS 1991-Batch) will be taking over as Deputy Director General (JS level), Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Headquarters, New Delhi, under MeitY.
15. Rajeev Sharma (IFS 1998-Batch) has been made Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
16. Rajesh Kumar Yadav (IAS 1996-Batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
17. Amit Singh Negi (IAS 1999-Batch) gets the charge of Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure.
18. Manoj Sahay (IA&AS 1994-Batch) will assume the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Expenditure.
19. Pankaj Sharma (ICAS 2000-Batch) has been posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services.
20. Sanoj K Jha (IAS 1997-Batch) has been made Joint Secretary, Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
21. Ghayas Uddin Ahmed (IDAS 2000-Batch) has been appointed as Financial Adviser (JS level), National Health Authority, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
22. R Ramakrishnan (IAS 1998-Batch) will assume the charge of Senior Deputy Director General (Administration) (JS level), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Health Research.
23. Vijay Mittal (IOFS 1991-Batch) gets the post of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries.
24. Harsh Gupta (IAS 1997-Batch) becomes Project Director (JS level), National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
25. G Madhumita Das (IPoS 1996-Batch) has been given the post of Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
26. Tiakala Lynda Yaden (IP&TA&FS 1994-Batch) will take over as Financial Commissioner (JS level), Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).
27. Lalit Bohra (IRTS 1998-Batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE).
28. Navin Agarwal (IRPS 1997-Batch) has been made Joint Secretary, Office of Lokpal, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
29. Vinakshi Gupta (IDAS 1992-Batch) gets the post of Additional Secretary (JS level), Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
30. Esha Srivastava (IFS 2004-Batch) has been made Officer on Special Duty (JS level), Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
31. Raman Chopra (IRS-IT 1993-Batch) gets the charge of Director (JS level), National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. (NHIDCL) under the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH).
32. Smriti Sharan (IPoS 1993-Batch) becomes Joint Secretary, Department of Rural Development.
33. Mahendra Kumar Gupta (IRPS 1998-Batch) has been given the post of Joint Secretary, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Department of Scientific & Industrial Research.
34. Krishna Kumar Dwivedi (IAS 1996-Batch) has been assigned the post of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
35. Subramanyam Manchikanti (IRS-C&IT 1991-Batch) has been made Joint Secretary, Department of Space.
36. Kunal (IAS 2005-Batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Department of Sports.
37. Abhijit Narendra (IRTS 1993-Batch) will take over as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel.
38. Anand Singh (IAS 2000-Batch) has been made Joint Secretary, Department of Telecommunications.
39. Asit Gopal (IFS 1990-Batch) gets the post of Commissioner (JS level), Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), National Educational Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
40. Richa Misra (IDAS 1996-Batch) has been appointed as Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.
41. Satya Prakash Vashishth (IFS 1994-Batch) has been made Executive Director (Administration) (JS level), National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
42. Bhaskar Dasgupta (CSS) will be assuming the post of Executive Director (Finance) (JS level), NMCG, Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.
43. Indra Mallo (IAS 1999-Batch) has been posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Women & Child Development.
