Prashant Kumar Jha, presently serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) (Deputy Secretary level) to the Minister of State for Science & Technology Dr Jitendra Singh has been re-designated as OSD (Director level). The 2008-Batch IRS-C&CE officer, Jha, will be serving the post up to September 25, 2023.
As per the orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has extended approval for re-designation of the post as OSD (Directo level). The tenure he will be serving on the post is equivalent to the balance period of his five years central deputation tenure or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
