In an effort to give a boost to industrial activities in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Management Association (LMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a consulting firm Big Alfa LLP. Anand Srivastava, Director, Big Alpha LLP, exchanged the MoU with Rajiv Pradhan, Executive Director, LMA.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp. Kirti Karamchandani, Head-Govt Relations, Uttar Pradesh (HCL&HCL Foundation); Hassan Yaqoob, Head-Corporate Affairs North, Flipkart; Dr Ravi Chandra, State Head, UNDP; and Lily Saxena, Assistant Manager, SIDBI, were present at the ceremony as chief guests.

The pact between LMA and Big Alfa will give a push to the industrial activities in the state with mutual cooperation and will also assist in making the CSR projects more effective to realise the dream of “vocal for local” and “development of all”.


Addressing the occasion, the vice president of LMA, AK Mathur spoke about the opportunities available for industrial activities and startups in other districts of Uttar Pradesh like Bareli, where Big Alfa along LMA can work together. He also said that LMA should focus on establishing new chapters in other districts like Gorakhpur.

Big Alfa must use its expertise in establishing new chapters and make those chapters fully active, he added.

Kirti Karamchandani informed LMA about CSR activities conducted by the company in district Hardoi. She told about the skill development centres where local people and SHG women were getting trained to earn a livelihood. They were making handicraft products and other decorative items. She also spoke about the Hub and spoke model that was used for the development for the locals and value addition. She invited LMA and Big Alfa to visit their skill development centre in Hardoi. Also, Kirti asked to provide their inputs for value addition in the program and for aggressive marketing and branding.

Lily Saxena, Assistant Manager, SIDBI, explained how SIDBI has been trying to help the MSME sector with its CSR activities. Such activities are creating awareness in society about various skill development programs and also training the people with various skillsets so that more new startups can take place. Apart from it, she also informed about various financial schemes to support new startups.

Lily appreciated Big Alfa’s contribution in promoting startups and helping them in taking the advantage of various financial schemes. She asked Big Alfa to promote Sidbi’s CSR activities by using its reach among MSME and startups.

Hasan Yaqoob shed light on the importance of e-commerce in today’s era. He also advised LMA and Big Alfa to develop an e-commerce council and to promote the startups to opt the platform to maximize their reach.

Kirti Karamchandani and Hasan Yaqoob spoke highly of the contributions of Big Alfa in its field and congratulated both the parties on the inking of the pact. All chief guests were honoured with mementoes.

In future, LMA and Big Alfa together will work along with industries with the purpose of boosting the industrial activities in the state and its empowerment.
