Ordering a major rejig in the State’s police lineup, the Government of Punjab issued orders to transfer and post 36 IPS officers and 14 Punjab Police Service (PPS) officers.

1. Varinder Kumar (IPS 1993-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Director, Bureau of Investigation, Chandigarh.
2. Jitendra Kumar Jain (IPS 1993-Batch) has been shifted and assigned the charge of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Powercom, Patiala.
3. Shashi Prabha Dwivedi (IPS 1993-Batch) has been given the charge of ADGP, HRD and the additional charge of Nodal Officer, Punjab Police Elections Cell.
4. Arpit Shukla (IPS 1993-Batch) has been made ADGP, Welfare, Chandigarh.
5. Amardeep Singh Rai (IPS 1994-Batch) gets the post of ADGP, Intelligence, Chandigarh.
6. V Neeraja (IPS 1994-Batch) will take over as ADGP, NRI, Punjab.
7. Rakesh Chandra (IPS) will assume the post ofADGP, Policy and Rules, Chandigarh.
8. Mohnish Chawala (IPS 1997-Batch) has been shifted and appointed as IGP, Border Range, Amritsar.
9. SPS Parmar (IPS) has been posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ludhiana Range, Ludhiana.
10. Mukhwinder Singh Chhina (IPS 1998-Batch) gets the charge of IGP, Patiala Range, Patiala.
11. Shive Kumar Verma (IPS 1998-Batch) has been made IGP, Law and Order, Punjab, Chandigarh.
12. Rakesh Agrawal (IPS 1999-Batch) has been made IGP, Counter Intelligence and Organised Crime Control Unit (OCCU), Punjab.
13. Kaustubh Sharma (IPS 2001-Batch) has been appointed as IGP, Headquarter, Punjab, Chandigarh.
14. Babu Lal Meena (IPS 2004-Batch) has been made Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Administration, PAP, Jalandhar.
15. Gurpreet Singh Toor (IPS 2004-Batch) gets the post of DIG-cum-Joint Director, MRS, PPA, Phillaur. He also gets the additional charge of DIG, IRB, Punjab, Patiala.
16. Gurpreet Singh Gill (IPS) has been appointed DIG, Commando, Punjab, Bahadurgarh, Patiala.
17. Sanjeev Kumar Rampal (IPS) has been shifted and posted as DIG, Training, PAP, Jalandhar. Rampal also have been given the additional charge of DIG, Administration, STF, Punjab, Chandigarh.
18. Harcharan Singh Bhullar (IPS 2007-Batch) has been transferred and posted as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Patiala.
19. Sandeep Garg (IPS 2012-Batch) has been appointed as SSP, Mansa.
20. Rakesh Kaushal (IPS) will take up the charge of SSP, Amritsar (Rural).
21. Varun Sharma (IPS 2014-Batch) has been made SSP, Faridkot.
22. Harmandeep Singh Hans (IPS 2016-Batch) has been shifted and posted as SSP, Ferozepur.
23. Kanwardeep Kaur (IPS 2013-Batch) gets the charge of SSP, SBS Nagar.
24. Alka Meena (IPS 2010-Batch) has been transferred and posted as SSP, Barnala.
25. Ravjot Grewal (IPS 2015-Batch) will be assuming the post of SSP, Malerkotla.
26. Gulneet Singh Khurana (IPS 2012-Batch) has been transferred and appointed as Commandant, 5th IRB, Amritsar with the additional charge of Additional Inspector General (AIG), CI, Ferozepur.
27. Ashwani Kapur (IPS) has been assigned the post of AIG, CI, Pathankot.
28. Naveen Singla (IPS 2009-Batch) has been made AIG, SB-I, Intelligence, Punjab, SAS Nagar.
29. Dhrunman Harshadray (IPS 2010-Batch) has been made AIG, CI and OCCU, Punjab, SAS Nagar.
30. Charanjit Singh (IPS 2013-Batch) has been given the charge of AIG, Crime, BOI, Punjab Chandigarh.
31. Rajpal Singh (IPS) has been appointed as Commandant, 7th Bn. PAP, Jalandhar.
32. Harmanbir Singh Gill (IPS) will take over the post of AIG, PAP-I, Jalandhar.
33. Narinder Bhargav (IPS 2013-Batch) will assume the charge of Commandant, 3rd IRB, Ludhiana.
34. Bhagirath Singh Meena (IPS 2013-Batch) has been appointed as Commandant, Ist IRB, Patiala.
35. Amneet Kondal (IPS 2012-Batch) has been assigned the post of AIG, Personnel-I, CPO, Punjab, Chandigarh.
36. Gurdial Singh (IPS) has been assigned the charge of Commandant-cum-Deputy. Director (Indoor), MRS PPA, Phillaur.
37. Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar (PPS) has been appointed as SSP, Batala.
38. Lakhbir Singh (PPS) gets the charge of Commandant, 9th Battalion. PAP, Amritsar.
39. Surinderjit Singh (PPS) has been assigned the charge of SSP, Moga.
40. Sarabjit Singh (PPS) has been posted as SSP, Sri Muktsar Sahib.
41. Harwinder Singh Virk (PPS) gets the post of SSP, Tarn Taran.
42. Rajbachan Singh Sandhu (PPS) becomes SSP, Ludhiana (Rural).
43. Kulwant Singh Heer (PPS) has been given the charge of SSP, Hoshiarpur.
44. Swarandeep Singh (PPS) has been posted as AIG, Crime, BOI, Punjab, Chandigarh.
45. Opinderjit Singh Ghuman (PPS) becomes Commandant, 27th Battalion PAP, Jalandhar.
46. Jatinder Singh Benipal (PPS) has been shifted and posted as Commandant, 7th IRB, Kapurthala.
47. Harpreet Singh Mander (PPS) has been transferred and assigned the post of Commandant, PRTC, Jahan Khelan.
48. Jaskiranjeet Singh Teja (PPS) has been made Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Investigation, PBI, Jalandhar.
49. Gurmeet Singh (PPS) has been given the charge of Commandant, 75th Battalion PAP, Jalandhar.
50. Ranbir Singh (PPS) gets the charge of DCP, Headquarters, Jalandhar.
