Neeraj Sinha gets an extension of 2 yrs as DGP, Jharkhand

The Government of Jharkhand, in a recently issued order, gave an extension to the Director General of Police (DGP) Neeraj Sinha for a period of two years. Sinha, a senior IPS officer of 1987-Batch will now hold on to the post of DGP of the state till February 11, 2023.


Earlier this year on February 11, Sinha was assigned the post of DGP Jharkhand. He succeeded MV Rao (IPS 1987-Batch). At the time of Sinha’s appointment to the post, no specific tenure to hold the post was mentioned.
