As the COVID cases are surging in the state, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan today, on May 13, announced that children whose parents or guardians succumbed to COVID-19 infection will be provided free education and a monthly pension of Rs 5000.

According to an international news agency, CM Chouhan said, “We cannot leave such families, we are the government of the state and we will support these children.” Such children need not worry, as they are the children of the state, and the state will take care of them, he added.

Addressing women who want to start a business or want to work, the CM announced that for such women the state government will grant loans on the government guarantee.
