Anupam Anand becomes Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat

As per a recent order from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the ECI has assigned the charge of Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat to Anupam Anand (IAS 2000-Batch).

Anand will succeed the incumbent Chief Electoral Officer of Gujarat S Murali Krishna (IAS 1998-Batch). Krishna has served at the post for the last three years. Prior to the new appointment, Anand was serving at the post of Secretary, Tribal Development.
