The Government of India, on February 11, released official orders for the empanelment of 40 senior IAS officials from 1987, 1988 and 1989 batches to be posted at Secretary or equivalent positions in the Government of India. Of the 40 officers, 26 have been empanelled for Secretary or secretary equivalent while 14 have been empanelled for Secretary equivalent.
