RP Thakur IPS assumes office as VC & MD, APSRTC

Following the orders from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, RP Thakur, a senior IPS officer of 1986-batch, has been allotted the charge of Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) in Vijayawada. The transfer orders from the state government were issued on January 14 and Thakur assumed the office on January 19.
He took over the charge from MT Krishna Babu, Principal Secretary, Transport, as he was holding the additional charge of VC & MD, APSRTC. Earlier, Thakur had served as the DGP in the previous government.
