The Central Selection Board of Constable has released a notification for the direct appointment of 8415 constables in Bihar. Eligible candidates can apply online from November 13 to December 14. The recruitment will be done for the post of Constable in Bihar Police, Bihar Military Police, Specialized India Reserve Corps, and Bihar State Industrial Security Corps.

Aspiring candidates need to apply for a written examination for the above-mentioned vacancies. Candidates making it through the written test will be posted in different units as per their preferences selected while filling up the application form. For the candidates to pass the exam, they need to score a minimum of 30 per cent.

The examination will be objective type and of the intermediate or equivalent level of the Bihar School Examination Committee. Students are required to score a minimum of 30 marks out of the total 100 to pass the exam. Those selected in the written test will have to go through the Physical Efficiency Test. In this, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in running, high jump and throwing.
