In an effort to back the country’s endeavours for cleanliness, Union Department of Fertilizers is observing Swachhta Pakhwada from September 1 to September 15. All PSUs and other organizations under the department are actively participating in the Swachhta Abhiyan.
DV Sadananda Gowda, Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in a tweet said that Swachhta Pakhwada has gained even greater importance in the current year due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Adding on he said, the efforts put in by the department and its PSUs and organisations will be visible in the coming days.

As a part of their efforts, the Secretary (Fertilizers), Chhabilendra Roul administered Swachhata Pledge and the senior officers of the department took the pledge on September 1.
