Following an order issued by the Government of Chhattisgarh on September 12, as many as 14 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the state have been promoted to higher ranks.

1. Sanjay Pillai (1988-Batch IPS) has been promoted and posted as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jail and Reformation Services.

2. RK Vij (1988-Batch IPS) has been made ADGP, Planning Management and Technical Services (Telecommunication/CCTNS/Cyber Branch) Police headquarters.

   
   

3. Ashok Juneja (1989-Batch IPS) will be taking the charge of ADGP, State Intelligence Bureau/Naxal Operation, Police Headquarters Raipur and ADG, CAF and STF.

4. Ravi Sinha (1989-Batch IPS) presently on deputation to the central government has been promoted to the rank of DG.

   
   

5. Pradeep Gupta (1995-Batch IPS) is to assume the charge of Director, Public Prosecution, Raipur.

6. T R Paikra (2002-Batch IPS) has been given the charge of Additional Transport Commissioner, Raipur.

7. Rajendra Narayan Dash (2006-Batch IPS) has been made Additional Inspector General (AIG) of police, Recruitment/Selection, PHQ, Raipur.

8. B S Dhruv (2006-Batch IPS) has been promoted and posted as AIG, Naxal Operation, PHQ, Raipur.

9. T Ekka (2006-Batch IPS) has been made Commandant, 2nd Battalion, CAF, Sakari, Bilaspur.

10. Deepak Kumar Jha (2007-Batch IPS) has bee posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), Bastar (Jagdalpur).

11. Jitendra Singh Meena (2007-Batch IPS) has been given h charge of SP, Balod.

12. D K Garg (2007-Batch IPS) has been made Commandant, 19th Battalion, Jagdalpur.

13. Balajirao Somawar (2007-Batch IPS) is to assume the charge of SP, Jaspur.

14. Abhishek Shandilya (2007-Batch IPS) is presently on deputation to the central government has been promoted to selection grade.
