Dr Rajesh Deshmukh assumes charge as District Collector, Pune

The Government of Maharashtra, in a recent order released on August 17, approved the transfer of Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, a 2008-Batch IAS officer. Dr Deshmukh has been appointed as the new District Collector of Pune on an immediate basis. The transfer order was issued by Sitaram Kunte, Additional Chief Secretary.


Prior to the order, Dr Deshmukh was posted as the Managing Director (MD) of Haffkine Institute in Mumbai. The Additional Chief Secretary asked Dr Deshmukh to take charge on the immediate basis and Kunal Khmenar, another IAS officer, has been appointed as the MD, Haffkine.
